Theresa’s father, To-Ping Tsui, was the patriarch of the Ng family restaurant and helped shape the KC Chinese Restaurant scene. This courageous, hard-working father immigrated to New York with his wife and 4 children in 1972 from Taiwan via Hong Kong. Making his way to KC in 1975, he opened the first family restaurant venture which was truly a family affair with everyone pitching in to help. After several years, his daughter Theresa married Richard Ng and the first Bo Lings was opened. To-Ping’s children appreciate the sacrifices he made to ensure a better future not only for them, but for future generations. Cheers to To-Ping’s memory and the legacy he created. 10/8/1926 – 4/7/2020
